Apex Racing Team are proud to announce that One-Up Motorsports will be joining the fastest-growing brand in sim racing eSports to complete our line-up of representation in every single professional series on the iRacing service.
Apex Racing will provide full backing and support to Peak Antifreeze professional driver and 2013 championship winner Tyler Hudson and his team One-Up Motorsports with the intention of reclaiming his title in the premier eSports NASCAR series through 2017 alongside Apex Racing Team’s F1, Formula Renault, Blancpain Endurance and BSRTC professional entries with the aim to clean-sweep them all. On the partnership, Tyler said “We are very excited about partnering up with Apex Racing Team to push sim racing eSports forwards. We see it as a great opportunity to build on our brand and reputation in the eSports community. Along with that, utilizing the academy to give back to the community and helping drivers take their skills to the next level, has always been a passion of mine, the Apex Academy presents an opportunity I am really looking forward to. We’ve always held professionalism as a top priority here at One-Up Motorsports as have Apex Racing Team and so it makes sense for both parties in the dreams of taking our eSport we all love to the next level.”
Apex Racing Team Manager and F1 pro driver Alex Simpson said “When we first thought about setting up an iRacing team, it was to get to the Grand Prix Series and compete with the best drivers in the world. In 4 years we have not only achieved that goal, but have surpassed it to create one of the strongest Sim Racing brands in the world along the way. For 2017 Apex Racing TV, Apex Racing Simulators & Apex Racing Academy are all pushing sim racing into the eSports arena in unprecedented ways, including broadcasts to international television channels like MotorsTV and GinxTV. I’m so excited to take things even more international to the USA with Tyler and his team partnering us to make a Global eSports brand and I can’t wait to sign up to one of Tyler’s Apex Racing Academy Oval classes for season 1 2017!!”.
This move will not only continue Apex Racing’s continued push for sim-racing to expand into the rapidly growing eSports world, but also will align One-Up motorsports with the well-established Apex Academy structure. One-Up and Apex drivers will give iRacing members and NASCAR fans unprecedented opportunities to learn all about setups, racecraft, physical and mental training programmes and much, much more.
